Project Description
We Supply Fluff Pulp for Disposable Hygienic Products
Fluff Pulp
The wood pulp used in the structure of the absorbent hygienic products (baby diapers, adult diapers, sanitary napkins etc.) is completely cellulose. It is obtained from pine trees in well-groomed forests. Typical fiber length used in baby diaper is about 2.6 mm.
The liquid is absorbed due to the capillary spaces between the fibers and the surface tension between the water and the fiber. While the pulp is free swell, it absorbs around 10 cc of water per gram, while it absorbs less than 2 cc of water when exposed to 5 kPa pressure. Cellulosic layer (fluff pulp) is used in baby diaper with a weight of 5-15 g/m².
